❤️ Celebrating Sophie Kinsella ❤️
We can’t wait to see you for our first book club of 2026, where we’ll be celebrating Sophie Kinsella (born Madeleine Sophie Wickham), who sadly passed away on 10 December 2025, aged 55.
Writing as Sophie Kinsella, she gave us hilarious rom-coms featuring messy, flawed and optimistic heroines that so many of us related to. Her books have sold over 50 million copies in more than 60 countries and been translated into over 40 languages.
Under her real name, Madeleine Wickham, she also wrote sharp, relatable general fiction focused on relationships and family life.
Her genre and style might not be for everyone, but let’s celebrate the laughter and comfort her stories brought to readers around the world for over three decades.
